This was the first Christmas for me that I did not spend at my parents’ home. It is also the first Christmas, since being married, that we have ever bought a tree. Our tree came from the local forest and I had fun decorating it with homemade cookie ornaments in the shape of the Canadian [...]

I sure do love my dad! He plays with me and gets me to laugh. People say that I look more like my dad, but he thinks I look more like mom. What do you think?
My parents kept socks on my hands until recently to keep me from scratching myself. Finally, they took the socks off [...]

We were in Canada on January 31 when Asia celebrated her second birthday! Hard to believe it has already been two years. Time sure does fly. Asia did not know what to think about the cake and candle. She had no trouble eating that ice cream cake though. She loves ice cream!

I was waiting on the wrong side of the road,
I was to blame.
I did not understand the bus schedule yet.
So back to my home I went.
An hour [...]
Travelin’ Rainbow

In the clouds today I flew,
travelin’ again, farther away from you.
I looked out of my window,
and much to my surprise,
there was a travelin’ rainbow by my side.
The rainbow put my mind at ease,
A little laugh escaped my mouth,
and a smile spread across my face that did not cease.
I realized at that [...]

Star light, Star bright
First star I see tonight
I wish I may
I wish I might
Have the wish I wish tonight.
These words are very familiar to me.
Many times as a child I wished for things that just could never be.
But the stars gave me comfort nonetheless
Because I new angels flew above in God’s holiness.
What I wouldn’t [...]

How can I ever express to God my gratitude for my love? I am drawn to my love in a way that I will never be able to express and held to him with love that my body does not suffice to declare. He wanders so frequently in my thoughts by day and inhabits my dreams, [...]
